  • Yes, we’re just 3 miles by road from the A9 at Kingussie, and there is also a predominantly off-road cycling and walking route between Drumguish and Kingussie. See our location here.

  • We have a 7.5kW charging point for our guests to use at Aonach. You’ll just need the Monta Charge app for iOS or Android to get started. There are also ChargePlace Scotland fast chargers in Kingussie.

  • Yes, we accept up to two well-behaved cats or dogs. There are some amazing walks right from the door, and a cosy open fire for cooler evenings.

  • Any time! We think that it’s amazing here all year round, with distinct seasons all with their own attractions. Biking, walking and wild swimming are enjoyed all year round, ski-ing in the winter and sailing on the lochs in the summer.

  • While we can’t guarantee anything, we have bird and squirrel feeders in the garden and many of our guests tell us how much they enjoyed watching the red squirrels and birds from the house. If you’re lucky you might see a deer, pine marten or badger.

  • Absolutely! We have dedicated storage for up to 5 bikes, e-bike charging facilities, basic tools and bike cleaning kit. The Speyside Way is moments from the door, and there’s every kind of riding including road, gravel, MTB singletrack and trail centre riding within easy reach.

  • Yes, they are. We provide tea towels in the kitchen, a hand towel and a bath towel for each guest, bed linen, and a bath mat.

  • Yes, there is WiFi throughout the house, although due to our rural location the speeds are a little lower than in urban areas. The bandwith is sufficient for general use and watching TV streaming services.

  • Yes, we try our best to minimise our impact on the environment. Aonach is supplied with renewable electricity and he have a PV array on the roof. We provide an EV charging point and use environmentally-friendly cleaning products. We encourage our guests to travel locally by bike or on foot.
